New Pencil Expected Soon?

I'm in the market now to buy an Apple pencil. With the events coming up this year, I wasn't sure if a new version of it would be coming out. Everywhere I've looked that mentions hardware items coming up this year, none mention an updated pencil.

Does anyone know or heard about a new one being released?

No, I haven't, and to be quite honest, what else could Apple do with the Pencil without changing its intended purpose?

For one, they could add an eraser and that would still be within the intended function. Honestly, you could add side buttons & all of those additions could be used for graphic design or note taking which it has been advertised for it's use, especially graphics or CAD.
