tech 21 impact mesh case

I bought a tech21 impact mesh case for my 5s two days ago and notice that there was a hairline crack about 2 inches on the side so I returned it. The one I exchanged it for is slightly too tight so that the power button gets pressed from time to time. I;m going to exchange it again tomorrow (I feel like an *****), but was curious if anyone else had any issues with them? I had heard nothing but good reviews, and I like the look and feel, but this is a little concerning.

I have the Tech 21 Impact Mesh case in smoke and it has been great. I've used it pretty regularly for several months (currently sporting the Apple black leather case). My Tech 21 has is showing no signs of wear and no discoloring. Sounds like some bad luck to me.
