in a iCenter ( apple reseller ) near us has only this case
for iphone 5:

speck nice
targus
retro hyper grip
ozaki
gosh cross x
simplism note style

i tried looking in google but could not find a decent review.
if possible what are the advantage and disadvantages of
the cases above?

if you were me and would like your iphone 5 to be safe
from few drops and rain( let's say the device was in the bag when it is rainin )
what would you choose in the case above?

Hi justvalencia,

It really have to depend on what you look for in a protective case for your beloved iDevice.

Speck | nice:
Speck focuses more on aesthetics (e.g bright colours and pictures) and less on durability.
Made with cheap plastic that cracks upon multiple accidental drops.

Targus:
Very business-like cases.
Plain color, minimalistic and with/without extra functionality (e.g. kick-stand for propping up your phone).

Retro hyper grip:
Too many accessories for a case. May become too bulky for pockets too.

Ozaki:
Needless to say: overpriced!! Quality not high; spoils easily.

gosh! cross x:
Gosh! Cross X is a bumper case: i.e. protects only the aluminium on the sides.
Doesn't cover front and back to prevent from scratches.

Simplism note style:
If you have to choose between these 6 cases, I'll recommend you get this for full protection.
Very chic iPhone case too.

You could also try online thrift store that ships products to your area!!
All the best!! ;)

design is kinda not good, i want a simple case that protects
my device from few drop and little rain just like i mentioned
in my post. i guess there's no good case in our local store here.

I have a Speck case and so far I really like it. I guess if you drop your phone a lot it may not be the best, but mine has survived a few minor drops with no issues. The Speck looks good and seems to have decent protection and I am happy with it so far.

alright last question:

What would you choose?

Belkin case or Otter Box?

Why and why not?
