iPhone 5 is hot and many people are using it so I think this is not a difficult question. I just want some apps working well on iphone 5, without any damage. I like watching movies very much, so the DVD or videos related software would be highly appreciated. (I use Mac computer by the way). Thanks in advance.

Actually, you can easily find many useful apps on google. Well, for the DVD and video related software, I know Handbrake is good. Another choice is macx dvd ripper pro. I found it on lifehacker that this app is free now. You can try both of them.
