iPad mini screen protectors
On amazon there is skinomi full body protector for about $3.94 shipped. I have it for my iPhone 5, great quality for that price. It is comparable to Zagg IMO. I will use the full body kit with the Smart Cover I think.

If I don't get a Smart Cover...BODYGUARDZ is my go-to provider for protectors.

iPad mini screen protectors
I've never been unprotected before, But after reading an article about gorilla glass being on all of the iPads and iPhones I think I'm going to go naked.
Let me say I've had a terrible time trying to apply screen protectors to iPhones over the past three or four years. I'm thinking that trying to put one on an iPad mini is going to be even worse. After all these years of using a communication device, i seem to be accident free now and I'm going to chance it.
I have however been looking at screen protectors on eBay and I see that they're being advertised is washable and reusable. Has anyone had any experience doing that?
I took the screen protector off of my iPhone two months ago and I do seem to like it better without the screen protector. So, are there any thoughts on the washable screen protectors? - 11-26-2012, 10:47 PM #16
iPad mini screen protectors
I went to BestBuy today after work and got them to put on this screen protector. Not sure if I like it or not yet as I have to wait 24hrs for it to dry. The screen is very clear with it on, though. If it wasn't for the opening around the home button I wouldn't have known that it was on. Can't wait till it is finally dry.

iPad mini screen protectors
I ordered matte screen protectors from MediaDevil. I really love their protectors. Been using them for a while now and they go on easy and last a long time.

Depends on your perspective I guess. The MediaDevil matte ones are the clearest as far as distortion but it still introduces a slight frosty look. The benefit is that there are zero fingerprint marks or smudges and the screen has a paper-like feel. I've grown really accustomed to the screen having the extra friction. I have one in my iPhone as well and love it.

I initially used matte anti-glare SP's for my original iPad (can't recall the brand, but purchased at a kiosk at the mall for $30, and yes, way overpriced!), my 4S (Moshi iVisor, $24.95, also overpriced) and iPod touches (Power Support, 2-pk $14.95). I thought they were great at first because of the texture and the lack of fingerprints and smudges. But after a while, the frostiness started to really bother me, especially when I would compare my phone to one without an SP. Then I really started getting a bit annoyed when I would play Bejeweled and the extra nanoseconds of drag seemed to make the game run slower, lol. The last straw was when hub's matte Power Support SP lifted off his phone so he removed it and loved the crispness of the retina which he never got to enjoy before. Said he was going to leave the screen unprotected (NOOOO! Remember when he decided to let the phone go naked for a day???) so I had to do something and bought the crystal ones to try.
I now use and LOVE the crystal-clear SP's bought from eBay for around $2 for a six pk of front and back SP's for the phone (I don't use the back ones since I use cases) and around $3.50 (for a 3-pk per size) for front-only iPad SP's for our iPad1, iPad3 and mini.Last edited by LVMHgirl; 12-18-2012 at 02:04 AM.
