It's not to snug like when I tried the reflex case out it took my shield off on the back. I. Don't think this tech 21 case would do that since its a tpu. Really impressed with it! It's a really good looking case!

I'm currently waiting for them to send me a couple of iPhone 5 cases to review. But they all feel good, and as you can see from the videos, they are AMAZING protective.

Still using this case and still loving it. Anyone considering an OtterBox Commuter for their iPhone 5, I'd suggest giving this a try. It offers good protection against drops and has held up really well. $14.00 on Amazon isn't too bad, either!

How are the volume buttons and home button for responsiveness? I tried one in the apple store and they seemed hard to push. Maybe it was just me?

Not bad at all. I would say the same as a belkin or a speck.

Loved my regular Black Candyshell but it was scratched to hell in 3 days. Got the white/black Candyshell Grip today. Really love the feel. I was against getting white because my iPhone is black. But the white doesn't show the scratches. This case is also slightly thinner than the original Candyshell. My daughter has one and I compared the two. Surprisingly happy with this!

Spigen sgp makes a case called armor that looks pretty minimalist but able to withstand some use on it

I get free OtterBoxes from work if they are defective. Well, I got an orange and black camouflage one and a plain black one. The screen protector had fallen off, which was fine with me because I use an iVisor. So, I mixed and matched and made an orange and black. Just a temporary fun thing.

I had one for my iphone 5 and it was the pitts. the fit was loose and the material it was made out of was no where near as good as I had seen on the iphone 4 and 4s. the little rubber piece where the belt clip goes over and fastens split and broke and overall a very poor case. workmanship was bad and the material was bad too. i sent it back and got a refund

My Ottebox Defender is great. It all fits nice and tight and the rubber is very snug. You may have had a fake and not a real Otterbox. If you buy from places like amazon or eBay, you definitely have a fake. Those kiosks in the mall, fakes too. The only sure way to know its real is a carrier store like AT&T or Verizon, best buy, or direct from Otterbox.
