Ordered a white 16gb from Verizon Wireless 10/16 with an estimated ship date of 11/2. Got an email saying it shipped 11/1, will be here 11/5.

I just checked my ATT account, and the order status switched form Backordered back to Processing hope it will be shipped soon

ordered black 16 gb on 10/15 at apple.com and just switched from "processing" to "preparing for shipment". Est. delivery date has been 11/14-11/20....hopefully sooner than that.

Ordered my black 32gb on 10/17 and my wifes white 32gb on 10/22. Got the email that it shipped for hers 11/1 before mine , but then got my shipped email the next day on 11/2. Looks like they are speeding up. Hopefully heres will be here tomorrow 11/5 and mine on 11/6.

Order 32 gig black from Verizon online on 10/20. Originally specified ship date as 11/16. Today at 7 a.m., received email that it has shipped and will arrived 11/7 at 7 p.m. Hubby will be happy. His Blackberry has been giving him more and more trouble lately. We bought my 4s last November to see if I would like it. Once he got his hands on it, he was hooked. But he wanted to wait for the 5....

You can call to check the status. I called Verizon directly to get my tracking number. The Verizon site updated after I got my phone and had activated it.

The wait is over! I ordered Oct 15th from Verizon's site and the phone (16gb black model) arrived yesterday. I waited by the door until FedEx showed up around 3.

I went into an AT&T store last night to order my iphone 5 (black, 64GB). I was surprised to receive an email today with the tracking number!! Looks like they are caught up now on their inventory - at least on the 64GB version.... Looking forward to receiving my on Friday!!

Same here. I had to try to act kind of out of it and under the weather all day today since I called in sick yesterday, lol. Hard to do when there's nothing wrong. I just really didn't want to miss the FedEx guy.
