iPhone 5 Shipping/Tracking

ordered from verizon on 9/14

I ordered my iPhone 5 from verizon on 9/14 and I have the confirmation email with the preorder confirmation number and the email says deliver by 9/28. When I click the "check your order status" link in that email and enter the preorder confirmation, it says ship by 9/28. I just want to know if anyone who ordered at verizon.com has the same email and if when they click that same link, does it say the same thing? I just want it on the 28th and want to make sure I will be getting it then. Also, does anyone have a tracking number they've received for this date?

Verizon is typically very accurate in their emails for delivery estimates. When it ships, you'll get the tracking number and track from there.

Mine had expected shipping 9/26..
My credit card was charged yesterday and iPhone 5 just delivered today a day early.

For people recieveing orders today/tomorrow, what time of day did you order your phone on the 14th?

Ordered mine around 9am PDT on the 14th from Apple. Originally was supposed to ship in 1-2 weeks, then estimated delivery was pushed to Oct 5. Okay, well and good, I thought, I'll just be patient! (I'm updating from an iPhone 3GS, so if I've waited this long a week or so won't kill me). Then on 9/20, (my order still showed "processing for shipment") I called Apple to update a small detail in my shipping address, and low and behold, the next day 9/21 I got email saying my item had shipped. Hallelujah! Don't know if the phone call update sped up the process or what, but it felt that way, cause the day before the Apple rep confirmed a probable delivery date of 10/5, then once the change went through, my shipment shipped.

Anywho, I've been tracking over the last couple days in its transit from China as follows:

Final entry: After all this, my phone was delivered to my office this morning!!!! Yeah!!!

Never say last. I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with Verizon trying to activate my new phone with my old number. I had to add a line and change to family shared to get the 5 at the discounted price. They are having a technical problem and I wouldn't have use of the phone for days.

Just got word of my delivery.
I pre ordered on Sept 14 at 5.32 am est time. It is now expected to be arriving on Oct 2, instead of Oct 9

Ordered from Apple at 7 AM EDT on the 14th. Apple confirmation expected deliver Oct 5.

Apple shipping email said delivers Sept. 28.

Today - UPS shows deliver on Sept. 26 (tomorrow). Here is the tracking:



Right from Korea to Louisville - no stop in Anchorage. I am hopeful that they are correct and it will be here tomorrow.

I pre-ordered two iP 5's from my local Verizon store on 9/14 as well and my ship date has been showing at 9/28 ever since. I was really hoping that I'd be receiving them a bit early, but at this point even the 9/28 delivery date is looking less likely as I have not received any shipping details yet.

I ordered mine from the Apple website the afternoon of 9/14. I was part of the 10/5 group, but now UPS says delivery by end of day on 10/1. It's still in China. This will be the last time I "pre-order". I could walk into several local stores here right now and just pick one up. Disappointed.

Thanks guys! We were having website issues so we didn't get ours ordered until 5:30 pm(CDT). Pretty sure I'm gonna have to wait another week or 2. Can't wait to get miine!

Same here... I ordered at 5 am here in NYC and UPS is saying delivery by end of day on 10/1. I'll never bother preordering again. I walked into the Grand Central store on launch day AFTER 1 pm and they still had plenty of stock available. Couldn't cancel because they couldn't guarantee that the upgrade would be restored to my AT&T account right away. But, this is pathetic that it's taking this long to ship. Never, ever again.
