Defective PhoneSuit Elite Case

I received a Phonesuit Elite Battery case for iPhone 4/4s as a Christmas present. It worked great for all of 12 hours - from yesterday when I first started using it, until this morning, when it just stopped working. This is supposed to be one of the best battery cases for the iPhone 4s on the market, so I am shocked that mine is apparently defective after so little use. Has anyone else had a bad experience with this battery case, or can you recommend a more reliable one that has at least a 2000 mAH, e.g., Mophie Juice Pack Plus or similar, or should I just get a new Phonesuit and give it another chance. Thanks.
