iPhone 4S and headphones connected...

I just want to confirm, if I have the default iPhone headset connected to my iPhone 4S, and I receive a call, text, Twitter notification, or notifications in general, they will all be played via the headset, correct?

Seems sometimes if I receive a call, and don't have my headset in my ears, I can hear the actual iPhone ringing. Some other times, it doesn't. But, with text, Twitter notifications, etc. they don't sound at all via the iPhone, only in the headset.

A lot of times when I'm at home, I have my headset connected to my iPhone, on my desk, but the headphones are not in my ear. so I miss notifications...

They should come through the headphones only (audio notifications). You will still get the notification displays on the screen either way.

Yes if the headphones are connected... All audio sounds will only sound through the headphones

and in my opinion thats built like it should work.. if you were jogging for instance listening to music the music will stop and it will ring in your ear to answer the call..
