Steve Jobs was a class act and made all Apple products so easy for me to love! On March 25, 2009 I wrote a 4 page handwritten letter to Steve about problems I was having with neon vertical lines destroying 2 of my out of warranty iMacs. Within 4 days I got a call from a great guy at Apple support who authorized their repair and called me several times to make sure I was happy with the service I was receiving. Apple replaced the $600 monitor screens on both of my iMacs! In my letter to Steve I started by saying: "First, let me say that I wish you a successful recovery. You are in my prayers." He was home on medical leave at the time. I wanted to say I hope you are working on the Apple tablet because I had read rumors about him doing so. I was so wanting the iPad before it came out! I did tell him I was 21st in line at our AT&T store for the iPhone and kept it when I got my next one. I told him I was a loyal Apple fan for over 20 years starting with a Mac SE, being an ACOT teacher, doing extensive iWeb sites with my 4th graders, co-writing a grant called iCAN, and about the one time I relented and allowed a PC in my classroom it got a porn virus on it and I gave it to our custodian! I ended my letter by saying that as a teacher I always would say to my parents, "What can I do to help you or make you feel better? I expect no less from a great company like Apple!" Apple exceeded my expectations in service and in their great innovative products that I covet! I am so glad I wrote my letter to Steve and got to tell him personally why I am such a Mac addict. Thanks to Steve I can write so effortlessly on this forum using my iPad. Thanks to Steve, Apple took the lead away from companies like Microsoft who made lame copies of hardware and software that was inferior and virus prone. Thanks to Steve Apple raised the bar beyond our wildest expectations! Rest in peace, Steve! You will always be a class act and hopefully your colleagues at Apple will be able to follow in your footsteps! My heartfelt condolences go out to your wife, your children, and your friends. We have lost our visionary but we our so lucky to touch, on a daily basis, the products of your visions!
