Using the iPad2 10w charger on iPhones, iPods etc.

Hi. I was wondering. Is it safe to use the iPad charger for other devices likes iPhones, Blackberries, nav-units and other USB charged devices.

Going on the road for the holidays I would like to avoid bringing separate charger for each and every unit. Bringing just the iPad wall charger, 30-pin apple USB, micro USB, mini USB and nintendo DSi USB would save some space. But is it safe for the devices?

I can't speak to the "Blackberries, nav-units and other USB charged devices" part, but the Apple website lists the 10w charger as compatible with all of their iPhones and iPods...
