I am going on Safari in Africa this summer and wanted to know how much heat the new Macbook can take? I don't want to damage it taking it but I want to have it available to transfer my pics from my camera so that I have a lot of space daily on my cameras SD Card.

The MacBook should be able to handle the daily heat of the day. May I suggest the possibility of just buying additional SD cards for your camera if you are really concerned as an option. The heat you will face wherever you are going on safari could not be worse than many places in the US that face the same kind of temperatures daily. So your MacBook should be just fine.
